What is Techno Gourmet all about?
Technogourmet or Techno Gourmet is the name given to a project that is trying to help save the world from the flawed Homin Idea, and at the same time taking action, of an ethereal type, to enable back-up plans to, only if needed, usher in the early Arrival of The Fel Idea, AKA the Empire of the Cats AKA the ultimate destiny of Earth.
Fine but practically what is it?
It is art. Music, poems, stories, films, etc. Here on Substack that means:
Non-Fiction articles about life: politics, philosophy, stories, film music, etc. Anything and everything that isn’t fiction. And there are specific projects that are flagged with a code:
RFYLIPT: The new inherited home for Run For Your Life It’s Poetry Time, rhymes and poems.
SCiFi4U: Periodic short stories of a science fiction bend, and including some things that might seem more like old fashioned fantasy.
COPS: Come On, Please, Satire ← must be said as if you can’t believe you have to explain it is satire.
FEL: This is stuff related to the concepts of humans as the Homin Idea, and Cats as the Fel Idea, and how that relates to the Past and the Future.
Spoilers it begins with the origins of culture, and ends in the far future crisis that is the Dog and Butterfly war, that must some day be fought and won for intelligent life to grow up.
While it is a no brainer that history of the future, empires of cats, wars with butterflies, etc. are Fiction, honestly you should think of it more as Mythology and Philosophy, with maybe a hint of religion or spirituality, to understand it better.
But why Techno Gourmet?
The idea comes from the not really accurate, idea that a Gourmet has a more nuanced and fuller understanding of food and what makes it good or bad. Apply that to technology and that’s the core. Ah, but the thing is, after thousands of cumulative years of research into the concept of technology, we believe that it is obvious that the first and most important technology that Humans ever used, were those related to language / communication of ideas. Which means Art, Music, poems, stories, films, etc. And the real deep philosophy of it goes in the direction of where did that tech come from originally, and we posit it came from the Dinosaurs, who had the first “real” culture on this planet.
